Welcome back after the half term break! It’s that time of year again where we get ready to say goodbye to some of our Pre-school group as they move on to Reception class!
The frogs have enjoyed doing activities with national smile week. They have been talking about their health and exercise, and have also been talking about cleaning their teeth. They have also been doing plenty of letter and phonic activities.
The tadpoles have enjoyed learning about our senses. We have been using our touch, smell and taste when looking at different objects. We have also been using our sight and hearing senses whilst playing in the garden.
National Bookstart week!
Monday 9th – 13th June is national Bookstart week, so we will be encouraging the children to read and look at more books we have also been invited to visit the sure start centre to listen to their story time.
Signing in and out
Just a reminder to sign your children in and out of the building when you are bringing them in to and picking them up from nursery. The signing in books are in the foyer. This is a legal requirement.
We would like to urge all parents to arrange a time during the week beginning 9th June to see your child’s key worker. This is an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress as we wind down for the school year.
We have already been in contact with many of the schools our Pre-school will be moving up to. Visits will be arranged before the end of the term. We will also be holding a Parents Information Evening on Wednesday 25th June dedicated to supporting children and parents as they make the transition from Pre-school to Reception.
