The tadpoles have been looking at different types of animals, what they feel like, and where they come from. We have been looking at the life cycles of kangaroo’s, chicks and bee’s. The tadpoles had a chance to hold real chicks, a snake and even guinea pigs! We have been using animals as tools for counting and have been playing matching games with pictures of animals and a letter. The children have been talking about their pets from home and what they are called.
We have our sports day coming up on the 30th of June, we will be holding this at our Knowle nursery, and parents are welcome to join us for this event!
The frogs have been getting busy on our Forest discovery school doing nature walks and visiting the animals. At zoo discovery the children visited different area’s of the zoo and learned all about the animals. As we have had our chicks in, the children have shown an interest in animals so Celine brought in her guinea pigs and snake for us to look at! They enjoyed cuddles with the guinea pigs and were very brave with the snake!
We would also like to welcome Celine our new deputy Manager in pre-school who has transferred over from our Filton setting.
The babies have been mark making in a variety of materials this month. The babies have made marks in sand, flour, pasta and they have been mark making by using their fingers in a mix of sand, corn flour and paint. The babies have enjoyed the outdoor space alot this month emptying and filling pots with water and blowing
bubbles through the tubes. The butterflies have had a new arrival this month so they have been learning each
others’ names through songs at register time.
