Tadpoles (2-3’s)

As you all know we have now split the tadpoles in to tiddly tadpoles and big tadpoles. This has proven really successful and we all feel that the children are benefitting a great deal from having activities more age – stage appropriate. The tadpoles will still join for some activities and at the begining and end of the day.

Tadpoles have enjoyed reading the story ‘Whatever next’ and have incorperated this in to their own imaginative play. The tadpoles particularly enjoyed taking their own space rockets to the moon for a picnic and a story.

Both tadpole groups will be doing lots of activities around spring and easter over the next few weeks! Don’t forget to bring your waterproofs!!

Frogs (3-5’s)

In preschool we have been focusing on Spring. We have talked about how the outdoors is changing. We have been watching the flowers beginning to grow in our Nature Garden. We planted some of our own grass in pots and decorated them for Mothers Day Presents! We hope you liked them! We have planted some sunflowers, carrots and herbs recently too! We loved making spring collage pictures from natural materials we found in the nature garden. All children enjoyed sharing with us why they love their Mums and told us of all the kind things they do for us!!

Butterflies (0-2’s)

We have been really interested in lining all our chairs up to pretend it’s a train/bus. To extend learning we decided to paint some long boxes to use in our roleplay area and use as different vehicles. In time for Spring we are going to be planting sunflower seeds in the garden, going for some local walks to look at all the flowers growing, and also looking and learning about baby animals!
