Tadpoles (Older 2’s)

We have recently read the story ‘Walking Through the Jungle’. We really enjoyed acting out the story in the nature garden. We looked at different animals and the sounds that they make. We made a really fun display of what we did!
We have also enjoyed doing activities for national smile month, we used the camera ourselves to take ‘selfies’ pulling different faces showing different emotions;
We will be looking at ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ story over the next few weeks. All children have been showing a keen interest in bug hunting!

Please Remember!

To bring clothing suitable for different types of weather, as well as 2 sets of spare clothes.

Frogs (3yrs+)

The last few weeks we have been focusing on national smile month and also where we live. We have been looking at the story The 3 Little Pigs and have linked this in to talking about where we live and what different homes around the world are made from. We have been looking at our teeth, talking about what happens at the dentist and looking at what foods are healthy and unhealthy for our teeth.

We are getting chick eggs very soon so we will be doing topics which cover the life cycles of different animals. Which will link in with our zoo trips. We are also planning to do a topic on mini beasts.

Butterflies (Under 2’s)

We have enjoyed exploring different textures recently – we particularly like cornflour, rice, pasta and jelly. We have enjoyed filling and emptying containers, measuring and counting. We have also been having great fun getting very messy doing body painting!

Over the next few weeks we are planning on doing lots of physical play outdoors in training for the sports day which is on the 30th June! We will also be decorating our garden with our own pictures and wind chimes!
