Knowle January 2014 Abbeywood tots newsletter
We have been very caring by looking after ‘Stark’ the dog. We dressed up as vets and doctors and gave Stark the dog medicine and bandaged him up. We have talked about being kind and gentle. We are going to be reading the story Jack and the Beanstalk and carrying out some fun activities too! Ella would like to remind you all to please label all your childrens spare clothes.
Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes!!!! In the preschool we have been focusing on ourselves. We used mirrors to do self portraits of ourselves; talking about the shapes and colours we need to use and talking about how we look similar/different to our friends. We traced around our bodies and matched body part labels to it. We have also been talking about the importance of exercise. We have been talking about babies – as some of us have got new brothers and sisters! We are going to be looking more at healthy eating – if you would like to bring in your own favourite healthy food to share with others feel free!!
