We celebrated Chinese New Year by tasting a variety of Chinese food; noodles, rice, curry and prawn crackers. We also made horse masks! We have been reading our favourite story at the moment – Jack and the Beanstalk. We have drawn around our bodies and around big Ella’s body. We compared our heights and talked about big and small. We also made some yummy big and small biscutes. We got messy playing in different types of beans too!
Nursery closes at 6pm. Please ensure you are here to collect your child before this time to ensure we can give you a good handover about your childs day. Late pick ups will now also be issued a late collection fee.
In Pre-school we have been celebrating Chinese New Year. We acted out the story of the Zodiac animals using props and talked about how Chinese people celebrate the New Year. We have been using chopsticks in our Chinese Takeaway in the role play area and enjoyed some real food – noodles, rice, sweet and sour sauce, prawn crackers among other things. For National Story Telling week we have been using our imagination and sharing stories with each other. We’ve used props and picture cards to make our stories more fun. We are planning to have a few trips to the library to choose some books to read together at nursery.
