Pre-School – Frogs
Last week we were learning about dinosaurs. We practiced dinosaur counting and made collages. We particularly enjoyed exploring different textures in our ‘dinosaur swamp’ and practiced moving our bodies like dinosaurs.
This week and next week we will be learning about Easter. We are going to make Easter nest cakes using shredded wheat and chocolate. We will be painting boiled eggs, going on a spring walk and having an Easter bonnet parade on Thursday 17th April.
We will be running allotment trips every Wednesday afternoon.
Last week we were learning about how we can share and take turns with others. We built towers together and played games such as ‘Honey bear’. We took it in turns to share the resources whilst making our sticky pictures.
This week and next week we will be focusing upon Easter. We are looking forward to having an Easter egg hunt and our Easter bonnet competition! We will be designing Easter eggs and singing songs related to spring.

Last week we focused upon different textures. We had fun searching for hidden objects hidden in gloop and using our hands to identify different items in a feely bag. We also liked our trip to the allotment where we explored textures in the outdoors.
This week and next week we will be learning about Easter. We will be making Easter cards and joining in with the Easter bonnet competition. We will also be taking a trip to Pets At Home to see the rabbits and creating rabbit ears of our own.
Thank you to all the parents/carers who attended our Diddy Dance performance, play and stay week and Mother’s Day afternoon. It was great to have you here and we hope you enjoyed your visit.
