Forest School At The Wild Place Project
This week the children of Knowle and Stockwood nursery had a very wet and muddy Forest school session at the Wild Place Project. This was a great opportunity to engage in some forest themed activities in the activity area.
Our first activity was creating leaf pictures, we took a selection of leaves and made leaf pictures using coloured paper and double sided sticky tape. The children all had their own different ways of attaching the leaves to the paper and it was interesting to see the ways the children chose to display their works of art.
Our second activity was building stick people with sticks from the forest and pipe cleaners, we then stuck a face on with sticky back plastic and then added googley eyes! Some of the children added some unique features to their stick people such as choosing to have five eyes or hair made out of sticks, fantastic!
And finally the children created their own clay forest face! With the use of leaves, sticks and googley eyes their creations came to life!
Another very successful forest school everybody enjoyed themselves including our Forest discovery school coordinator Clare Ford.
