Abbeywood Tots Day Nursery aims to provide excellent care and education to your children, and a superior service to parents and guardians. We offer a range of full and part time places and flexible opening hours.

Each Nursery provides state of the art security with secure access systems, individual play areas for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, all equipped with fantastic facilities and equipment.

All Nurseries are OFSTED registered and are inspected under the Children's Act and receive regular visits to ensure our practices and procedures are in accordance with the National Day Care Standards.

All of our nurseries facilities have achieved the prestigious Bristol Standard Quality Assurance accreditation.

Nurseries

Abbeywood Tots has three nurseries offering over 200 places within the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area.
Autumn 2007 - We were pleased to unveil our newly extended and refurbished facility at Station Rd Filiton.
This facility incorporates the latest electronic security systems and full coverage digital CCTV , This state of the art facility is now been purpose built to provide the perfect environment for children in our care.

Before and After School Club by "Klub Xtreme"

Abbeywood Klub Xtreme. is an OFSTED inspected Holiday Play Scheme that provides child care for ages 5-11 years.

Fresh Organic produce

Our fully-trained chef offers a menu that contains all the necessary nutritional requirements each child needs, prepared on the premises, using fresh organic produce. All dietary requirements are catered for on an individual basis. Fresh organic produce is sourced and delivered to the nursery on a regular basis by local suppliers wherever possible, so as to reduce our carbon foot print.
Our nursery children grow their own organic fruit and vegetables in their allotment, while learning about the food cycle, the environment and what is healthy foods and not so healthy foods. All the children participate in cooking activities and help to prepare the fresh fruit and vegetables for the morning and afternoon snack bar, therefore encouraging the children to taste different healthy foods.

Educating children

Abbeywood Tots have strong links with different organisations.
Heley Farm is a local farm in the process of becoming organic. Our children visit the farm on a regular basis so that they become familiar with the full food cycle. We hatch the eggs in the nursery, then follow the chickens throughout their life on the farm. Activities are planned in the nursery to encourage the children to think sensitively about the environment that we live in.
The Mutende Orphanage children in Zambia, have helped our children to think about different cultures and life styles, as we have formed a link by photographs and raising money as well as awareness.

Recycling

Abbeywood Tots recycles and re-uses materials wherever possible. All nursery children are encouraged to recycle and are actively taught the reasons for this.
We are due to set up a compost area in the allotment in the near future. Parents are encouraged to participate whenever possible.
Each nursery has an enclosed bicycle store to encourage parents to cycle rather than using a car.
