Abbeywood Tots Day Nursery aims to provide excellent care and education to your children, and a superior service to parents and guardians. We offer a range of full and part time places and flexible opening hours.

Each Nursery provides state of the art security with secure access systems, individual play areas for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, all equipped with fantastic facilities and equipment.

All Nurseries are OFSTED registered and are inspected under the Children's Act and receive regular visits to ensure our practices and procedures are in accordance with the National Day Care Standards.

All of our nurseries facilities have achieved the prestigious Bristol Standard Quality Assurance accreditation.

Nurseries

Abbeywood Tots has Five nurseries offering over 300 places within the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area.

September 2010 - Two new facilities will be opening within the grounds of Coniston Primary School in Patchway and at Tyndale Primary School in Yate , and we look forward to working in partnership with these two excellent schools.

At our Stockwood nursery work will commence shortly on the planned extension and refurbishment due to be completed later in 2010 , this extensive redevelopment and refurbishment will increase our capacity from 51 children to 100 . This building will also include high tech security systems and many new features and resources.

Before and After School Club by "Klub Xtreme"

Abbeywood Klub Xtreme. is an OFSTED inspected Holiday Play Scheme that provides child care for ages 5-11 years.

Educating children

Abbeywood Tots have strong links with different organisations.
Heley Farm is a local farm in the process of becoming organic. Our children visit the farm on a regular basis so that they become familiar with the full food cycle. We hatch the eggs in the nursery, then follow the chickens throughout their life on the farm. Activities are planned in the nursery to encourage the children to think sensitively about the environment that we live in.
The Mutende Orphanage children in Zambia, have helped our children to think about different cultures and life styles, as we have formed a link by photographs and raising money as well as awareness.

Recycling

Abbeywood Tots recycles and re-uses materials wherever possible. All nursery children are encouraged to recycle and are actively taught the reasons for this.
We are due to set up a compost area in the allotment in the near future. Parents are encouraged to participate whenever possible.
Each nursery has an enclosed bicycle store to encourage parents to cycle rather than using a car.
