Abbeywood Tots Day Nursery aims to provide excellent care and education to your children, and a superior service to parents and guardians. We offer a range of full and part time places and flexible opening hours.

Each Nursery provides state of the art security with secure access systems, individual play areas for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, all equipped with fantastic facilities and equipment.

All Nurseries are OFSTED registered and are inspected under the Children's Act and receive regular visits to ensure our practices and procedures are in accordance with the National Day Care Standards.

Food For Life "Gold" Award

We are delighted to have achieved this prestigious award in November 2012 for the fourth consecutive year. Abbeywood Tots was the first day nursery in the UK to obtain the accreditation back in 2009.

**** Breaking News ****

New conservatory and additional parking spaces scheduled for our nursery at Station rd, Stoke Gifford. Work will commence at the end of April 2013.

We recently had our OFSTED inspection at our Stoke Gifford site and was considered "outstanding" in all areas inspected - Congratulations to all the staff !

We are please to announce the opening of our new facility in Yate , this newly refurbished nursery will now cater for 0-5 years and will be open from 7.00am to 6.00pm all year round.

Educating Children

Abbeywood Tots have strong links with many different organisations.
Henley Tyning Farm is a local farm in the process of becoming organic. Our children visit the farm on a regular basis so that they become familiar with the full food cycle. We hatch the eggs in the nursery, then follow the chickens throughout their life on the farm. Activities are planned in the nursery to encourage the children to think sensitively about the environment that we live in.

The Mutende Orphanage children in Zambia, have helped our children to think about different cultures and life styles by supplying photographs . Since forming links with this Orphanage we have raised a staggering £750.00 that will pay for one years education for Three children attending the Orphanage - A big thank you to all who contributed your donations are making a big difference !

*** Specialist Staff Appointments***

We are pleased to announce the appointments of Two specialist staff.to compliment our educational team . The new specialist staff will be moving weekly to each nursery to give inspiration to the children., Jodie is the Drama and Music co-ordinator and Emily is the Physical education co-ordinator. Please look out for the activities that will be going on in your setting.

Recycling

Abbeywood Tots recycles and re-uses materials wherever possible. All nursery children are encouraged to recycle and are actively taught the reasons for this.
We are due to set up a compost area in the allotment in the near future. Parents are encouraged to participate whenever possible.

Each nursery has an enclosed bicycle store to encourage parents to cycle rather than using a car.
